Today was grocery shopping day, as is every Saturday around here. I decided to take a little detour to Planet Organic while I was out, to pick up a couple things I’ve been meaning to try out. Since Katie is hosting her New Food Challenge, I figured now was the time! Here’s what hopped into my basket.
Green Cuisine 7 Grain Tempeh – local BC company!
Kamut Flakes – a CCK favourite! I’m trying those out for breakfast tomorrow fo’ sho’!
I also got in the regular grocery shopping.
I totally scored a good price on the Almond Breeze at Planet Organic, and the peanut butter was on sale 2 for 1, so how could I not stock up? They finally had my Kaizen Natural Whey Protein Powder (vanilla) in stock too, so I was able to use my rain check coupon from the last time it was on sale and they were out. I was all about the deals today 
Lunch was some leftover pasta & veggies from Thursday night. Still awesome.
There was also some gym time this afternoon – 35 min on the elliptical, 15 min of upper body fun. There was a definite need for a shower & chocolate when I got home. Mini-eggs to the rescue!
You can add another handful of mini eggs to that to accurately depict what was consumed.
I then spent some time prepping some food to take over to my friend’s place tonight. We’re BBQ-ing dinner, and watching Game 2 of the Canucks-Blackhawks series. Yeah baby! Now I should get myself ready and wander on over there. Go Canucks Go!
I hope you love that 7 grain tempeh — it is one of my top 10 favourite foods

sweet! there’s a planet organic like just down the street from me – i haven’t been there in quite some time but i’ve been looking for tempeh *everywhere* and have found nothing at the regular stores.
