In my last post (the one with the North Coast Naturals giveaway we shall get to shortly), I eluded to smoothies with an almost Orange Julius type texture using the 100% Natural Iso-Protein – Vanilla flavour. I have come up with a winning flavour combination that I swear, is almost like drinking a Strawberry Julius, but is approximately 1 million times better for you. Plus it only has 4 ingredients!
Honestly, this just came about when I had a hankering for a smoothie, saw I had some mangoes, and decided to add some frozen strawberries to the mix. I think I was out of my usual smoothie liquid of choice – almond milk – so I threw in coconut water instead. For staying power, I added the Iso-Protein Whey powder (24 g per scoop). A short whiz in the Blendtec, and magic happened.
You just need to try this to understand how delightfully creamy and delicious it is. Sure, I haven’t had a Julius is, well, forever, but from what I remember, this would satisfy anyone’s craving. Plus it’s packed full of nutrients, such as Vitamin A, Vitamin C, and potassium. In fact, it would make a great post workout snack or meal, because it has a great mix of protein and carbs.
Creamy Dreamy Strawberry Mango Smoothie
serves 1 as a meal, 2 as a snack
Just 4 simple ingredients transform into one delicious, creamy smoothie that will have you skipping out on those sugar loaded Orange Julius’ at the mall food court. Packed with protein, potassium, Vitamin A & C, this is definitely a smoothie that will do your body good.

- 1 scoop (29g) North Coast Naturals 100% Iso-Protein Whey Powder – Vanilla flavour
