Round 2 Begins Tonight

Finally, my beloved Canucks are back in action! Tonight is the first game of the 2nd round, against those Chicago Blackhawks. Less than two hours until puck drop πŸ˜€

I sure am getting good at throwing together lunches quickly in the morning. I guess I could take the time in the evening to make them, but I’m never quite sure what I’ll want the next day.

Today was one of the regular eats – ham & cheese sammy! Black forest ham, cheddar cheese, Irene’s Bakery Multigrain Bread, mustard. Yum!

Sliced cucumbers (with edamammus for dipping).

Some Sahale Snacks Almonds (I think they are the sea salt & cranberry ones?)

I also brought along a gala apple, but it was never consumed. I left work too early!

Why did I leave work so early? I had to go and…watch fish come off a boat. Oh, the thrilling life I lead. At least it was 17 degrees Celsius out, so it was nice to be outside, even with the fish flying! And I got home just after 3 pm. Since I was home so early, I figured I’d run down to the mall and take in my pants to get them hemmed. Getting stuff hemmed is kinda pricey! I usually get my mom to do my hemming, but that’s not always convenient, seeing as we don’t live in same city. Oh well, can’t have pants that I’ll be walking on.

I also had a little snack before heading to the mall – one of the mini egg bars πŸ™‚

Now I have to decide on some game day eats for dinner! And I think I’m going to get in some good couch time this evening, since I did not sleep well last night at all. Later peeps.

Hmm, I never though about it that way, I’m of the lanky variety who needs to buy expensive pants that are extra long (35″ inseam). I guess having to get all pairs hemmed would suck just as much. Bummer…

Those egg bars look SO good….

I do my own hems since hemming does get expensive — I have a 28-29 inch inseam so I don’t think I’ve ever found pants I didn’t need hemmed…GO CANUCKS!!

Your ham & cheese sammie’s always look so tasty! I haven’t had that combo in ages!

If I had made those mini egg bars you can bet that they’d be gone by now! You have some will power, girl! πŸ˜‰
