Backwards Evening

My evening played out in reverse from the usual. Normally, I’d eat dinner, digest a little, head to the gym, then have a snack. But since I got home late, I spent too much time in “wind down from work” mode, and still had no clue what I wanted to eat for dinner. I figured that if I made dinner & ate then, I wouldn’t have time for the gym. So I decided to head to the gym first, and just eat late.

I didn’t want to be gnaw my arm off hungry at the gym though, so I munched on the other half of the Honest Foods bar from lunch.

I also had a few swigs of chocolate hemp milk.

I had originally planned to do some cardio & lower body strength work, but it didn’t quite pan out that way. I started with 45 min on the stair climber, but realized that the gym was pretty busy, and all the places I would normally do my lower body work were being occupied by trainers and their clients. Damnit! So I hopped on the treadmill for 25 min of incline walking instead. Although I wasn’t starving at the gym, as soon as I walked in the door, my tummy was a’ grumbling!

By this time, it was after 8:30 pm, so I just heated up leftovers from yesterday – panko-crusted turkey fingers & roasted cauliflower with cheddar.

My plate was much less monochromatic tonight!

Filled the void, and didn’t take much time. I couldn’t ask for anything else 🙂

Now my dishes are done, and I’m relaxing in my pajamas. I think it will be an early evening (early for me anyways), so that I can get to work early and leave early – tomorrow the Canucks play at 5 pm, can’t miss that! Night 😀

    I imagine that you would be hangry by 8:30! Yowzers! I’d of been passed out from hunger by then! 😉

    Sounds like you had a good workout even though you couldn’t get your strength training in.

    Don’t those trainers know that you need to get ready for your Olympics try outs? Kick them out of your way next time 😉
