Third Time Is A Charm

Today was my third day of Bike To Work Week, and I must say, it was the best day yet! We finally had a beautiful day for biking, and it stayed that way all day 🙂 It was still a little on the cold side, but that way you don’t get too hot on your way to work. And I think I’m getting a bit better at the whole biking thing – I’ve perfected my route, and it seems to be getting just a touch easier every time. I can’t say I’m going to bike to work all summer, especially on those rainy crap days, but perhaps I could aim for a couple days a week? Definitely helps save on the gas costs for my car as well 🙂

I would have posted this morning, but I was so exhausted last night, I slept in until the last possible moment before having to get up and get going. It was definitely needed – gotta have energy for that morning bike ride!

Because I gave myself minimal time to get out the door this morning, cereal was the obvious choice (although I’m missing other, more time consuming breakfasts).

Just a big ol’ bowl of Honey Nut Cheerios, with the usual Mango Peach Party.

I was a total bottomless pit at work today. I ate half of a Dr Weil Chia Razz bar in the morning (it was okay, I’m still partial to the Goji Moji – not enough raspberry flavour in this one for me). Then I started in on the food I brought with me.

Amy’s Low Sodium Split Pea soup – damn straight I ate the whole can!

Cucumber slices.

A crunchy, sliced gala apple.

Peanut Butter & Co. Cinnamon Raisin Swirl peanut butter to go with the apple, and my current obsession – avocado smashed with a wedge of Laughing Cow, seasoned with black pepper and onion powder.

And a slice of Irene’s Bakery Multigrain Bread to toast up and spread with the avocado goodness!

And on top of that, a co-worker gave me a Tim Horton’s Triple Chocolate Cookie. It was chocolate awesomeness 😀 I probably didn’t really need it, but it c’est la vie. It was good!

Now it’s time for me to wrangle up some dinner, so I don’t snack my way through the evening on peanut butter & graham crackers. I think I’ll be hitting up the gym for a little strength training action – I haven’t got alot of that this week so far. At least my cardio is already out of the way! Later gators 😉

Haha–the only thing that usually keeps me from eating a whole can of soup is the sodium, so if it’s low-sodium, why not?
