It’s Not Easy Being Green

Are all my meals going to have a colour theme (with a matching song title) today? 😉

My morning bike ride was a success, and I must say, the behind ain’t feeling too bad! Maybe I’m developing a bike rider’s butt? Is that even something you can get? Or perhaps I’ve just numbed all the nerves. HA!

I was biking with 2 of my guy friends out to Mattick’s Farm (the usual). I thought I might have a hard time keeping up, but they seemed to be biking slower than I would normally. It was definitely a much more leisurely ride – even my HRM told me so. I burned about 300 calories less than the last times I biked out there! Silly boys. I’m sure they can bike faster – either they were lazy this morning, or thought I wouldn’t be able to keep up.

We did stop at the tea house so they could get a bite to eat. I didn’t really feel like anything there, and it was too cold out (and too early) for ice cream. I was definitely hungry when I got home though! I fixed myself a little tasting plate that ended up being much more green than I had planned.

I had some of my favourite melon ever – honeydew 😀 First of the season.

More green in the form of cucumber slices.

Cottage cheese with the obligatory black pepper.

A toasted breakfast pita, cut into wedges.

Which were perfect for scooping up the deli hummus I picked up yesterday. I also had the last two dolmathes to add a little more green to the plate.

And since I missed out on ice cream out at the farm, I made myself a little sundae with the last of my So Delicious Cookie Dough Coconut Milk Ice Cream. I drizzled a little caramel sauce on top, and added a couple graham crackers for fun (in place of the cone).

I then spent the afternoon on the couch with the cat, playing some Dr Mario on the Wii with iTunes blasting. There was also a little nap in there – I was up early on my day off!

Now I’m off to figure out what to make for dinner – there are a few options in my head, I just can’t decide what’s the most appealing to me right now. Later!

    Ha MARIO!!!

I’d love to be plugging away at some old-timey SuperMario Brothers on my Original Nintendo.
