Really, what’s not to like? It’s the ultimate packed lunch food – you can fill it with all sorts of tasty, healthy eats, and it only requires your hands to eat! There are endless flavour combinations you can come up with. You can even get fancy and make a bagelwich or wrap. Sandwiches are where it’s at.
Can you guess what I had for lunch? 😉
Nestled between two slices of Silver Hills “The Big 16” sprouted grain bread we find smoked deli chicken, mozzarella, spinach, and my aunt’s homemade red pepper jelly. Perfect for throwing in the toaster oven at work.
You may also recognize this sandwich accompaniment.
Carrots, cucumbers, and snap peas – oh my!
And a little something from a far away land.
Trader Joe’s Crunchy Peanut Butter granola bar. Thanks K!
The granola bar is soooo similar to those Nature Valley peanut butter granola bars. I haven’t had one of those in eons. It was rather tasty though, especially the little peanut butter blobs on top. Mmmmm, peanut butter blobs.
Some other notable things from my day – I’ve all but finalized my school schedule (can’t finalize it until I actually register), and scored 6 boxes for packing from the liquor store. I was seriously lacking in small boxes, and I have a feeling my family would not be impressed if I packed the giant boxes with things like text books. Ooooh, and I scored some free cat food for Sienna while I was running errands. Can’t go wrong there!
Guess it’s time to create something fabulous for dinner 🙂
Ah, that bread looks incredible!
That sandwich looks super good!
I’m 100% addicted to those granola bars (despite their lack of presence on the blog) so I’m glad you liked them!! Sandwiches are always a winner – what’s not to love? You got your bread, your cheese, and well, nothing else matters 😉
