One Day Weekend

At least, that’s what it feels like after having to go into work yesterday. First thing on the agenda – sleep in! Then breakfast 😀

There was one chunk of baked French toast left in the fridge from last weekend, so I heated that up and topped it with the last few dribbles of maple syrup.

I had a ripe nectarine that smelled awesome. It was a sign to have it along with my French toast.

And, as I’m sure you can guess, there was a glass of the infamous Mango Peach Party.

A sunny & cheerful breakfast for a sunny Sunday morning 🙂

As I mentioned yesterday, I was out camera shopping. I really want to pick up a good point & shoot camera to compliment my DSLR, because sometimes you just don’t want to lug around a big camera, ya know? I had been eyeing up the Canon SD880, but it turns out it’s being discontinued! 😯 I can’t find it anywhere, other than one demo model, and I don’t really want to buy a new but used camera, ya know? So the lovely salesperson at Future Shop was showing me the new Canon camera out to replace the SD880 – the Canon SD960. It’s another $35+ more, so not really a big leap in price, has higher megapixels (12 vs 10), and even has HD video. Pretty cool eh? He even took a new one out of the box so I could test it out in the store, and I must say, it’s pretty fun. Very slick – but considering the last time I bought a point & shoot (2002!), all cameras now are excellent in my view. HA! I’m almost convinced I’ll end up getting it – I think it will be my 30th birthday present to me 😀

So, let’s have a little question of the day: What’s the best birthday present you’ve given yourself?

What a pretty camera. I love new cameras and that one is SLEEK. I like the rounded edges too, neat touch. I definitely think you should get it and I love Canons so… DO it! I honestly don’t know if I’ve ever really bought myself a good birthday gift before but I’d say a camera is certainly a good one.

I bet that necatrine tasted mighty fine with maple syrup on it! YUM!

You know, I don’t think I’ve ever given myself a b-day present…not one that sticks out in my memory, anyways!
