A Little Bit Of Relief

Finally, temperatures out of the 30’s! I think it reached 29 C here today, and we even had a little breeze coming in off the water. I didn’t even need my fan on in my office!

All that hot tubbing last night must have tired me out , because I totally slept in this morning. And let me tell you, that sleep in was wonderful. Of course, it made for a rushed morning to get out the door to work. I still managed to throw together some good eats (really, when don’t I? HA!)

When in a hurry, cereal is probably the fastest breakfast I can think of. It’s also perfect for hot weather – a win/win situation.

I topped a bowl full of Kashi GoLean Crunch with fresh raspberries, Saskatoon berries, coconut, and hemp seeds.

Enjoying the morning sunshine with a glass of Happy Planet Mango Peach Party.

Are you sick of all the fresh raspberries I’ve been eating this summer? What can I say – I love those tart little gems. Gotta get your fill while they are still in season.

Work was busy, only because my support person went home sick this morning. But I made it through, probably because I wasn’t passing out due to heat exhaustion at my desk. And because I packed a great lunch to fuel me through the work day.

I bet you can’t guess what I brought.

It’s true, the week of repetitive lunches continues. Again with the pasta salad, but today I got a little wild and crazy, adding sheep’s milk feta and avocado.

Yummy honeydew melon.

And a Kashi Dark Chocolate Coconut granola bar.

Hey, at least I didn’t bring grapes to work again!

My coworkers also sent out plans for a going away/birthday party next week at a local restaurant with a great patio. That was actually the only location criteria – good patio. Can you tell it’s summer? And is it sad that I already know what I’m probably going to order for dinner? It could change – you never know until you hear the specials.

Well, time to create and eat dinner. I have a little mission to accomplish this evening – you’ll have to come back to see if I’m successful or not. How’s that for keeping the reader hanging?

Glad you got a break from the heat today, and your berry-filled breakfast looks lovely.

Sounds like great criteria for a summertime gathering to me! Hope the rest of your evening goes well 🙂

I haven’t had Kashi Crunch in a while and I’m missing that crunchy goodness! Sounds like your birthday/going away party will be a blast – gotta love outside patios!

There’s a house around the corner from me with massive raspberry bushes. I keep telling the kids that I’m going to go there under the cover of night to steal a basket!!
