Something Is Different

This doesn’t look like the sunshine we’ve had for weeks.

Trust me, those are grey skies, even if they look white. Hardly the patio weather we need for the party tonight.

Regardless of the weather, my breakfast was still good.

I mixed up some muesli and milk last night, then added some yogurt, coconut, Ruth’s Chia Goodness cereal, raspberries, granola, macadamia nut butter, and a little something special I whipped up last night.

I decided to cook up the remaining rhubarb in my freezer with a little sugar and water, so that I would have incentive to use it up before I move. I could probably eat it straight from the jar 😀

I went with a glass of my homemade blueberry herbal iced tea on the side.

It ended up being a very pink breakfast!

Time to go make myself presentable for work. Tonight is my going away/good luck/happy birthday party with my coworkers. We are headed to Glo Restaurant & Lounge for the festivities. It definitely has one of the best patios in the city, overlooking the water. Alas, the weather currently isn’t cooperating. If it stays like this, it will probably be too chilly to sit out on the patio. Booo-urns! Keep your fingers crossed the sun breaks through later on today.

That looks like great cereal! I love your blog name and the theme, very unique look.

I think it’s awesome that you’re quitting work to go back to school. I did the same thing, for a math Ph.D., and it’s been almost 5 years now! I wouldn’t necessarily recommend that, but still…the point is, nice job on recognizing the need for change and actually doing something about it!

Gorgeous meal. Rhubarb makes everything better, looks AND tastewise.

My fingers are crossed for you! Patio dining is the best!

Mmmm! That’s the tastiest museli I’ve seen in a while! Bummer about the weather, here in SF while every other normal city is easing into Fall, August and September are our summer months!!
