Let’s Get Ready To Rumble!

It’s feline vs. feline in an all out hissing match to the death!

Ferocious, aren’t they?

Don’t let this seemingly innocent photo deceive you – there is some serious strategy going on here. As you can see, Wilson has the escape route blocked, while Sienna is perched up on the couch to keep an eye on the sleeping beast. Let’s see how they stack up.

The Veteran – Wilson

sienna 3326

  • Age: 12
  • Weight: 20 lbs (at least)
  • Previous battles: He once took on a mama racoon and her babies, but not by choice. Ended up fleeing the scene, with some collateral damage to the tail.
  • Strengths: sheer size, ability to trap opponents in corners they can’t get out of
  • Weaknesses: cat food, ice cream, feet to rub his head on, the vacuum cleaner

The Newcomer – Sienna

sienna 3332

  • Age: 2
  • Weight: 11 lbs
  • Previous battles: generally have involved me, you may remember the eye attack? Good with the claws.
  • Strengths: serious attitude, ability to jump up to places that other cats, or even humans, can’t reach, good with the claws
  • Weaknesses: extra long tail, has not mastered accelerating on hardwood floors yet, the vacuum cleaner

So who has the advantage? Who will come out on top? Stay tuned!

And this is what I spend my days doing – keeping these two from killing each other. No one wants that vet bill, that’s for sure. Only another week of furball referee duty, then it’s all on my parents’ shoulders! HA!

I also spend my days eating tasty food – but you already knew that. Shall we see what’s gone down so far?

I started out with a plain ol’ bowl of cereal.

Nature’s Path Pumpkin Raisin Crunch in some unsweetened vanilla almond milk. I haven’t had either of these in ages. Yum!

I was back to juice this morning, of the cranberry peach variety.

Man, that dishwasher scratches up our glasses bad. Oh well, still tasted good 🙂

After some breakfast & newspaper time, I started in on cleaning up the house. My parents will be back tonight, so I can’t very well leave it as a pig sty. Actually, I don’t think it’s that bad, but my mom is a bit of a neat freak. So I better make sure everything finds its way back to it’s home.

I also ran out on an unsuccessful errand, and had planned on going to the park for a walk on the way home, but hunger came a calling, so I just went home to throw together this plate of awesomeness.

I used up the rest of the ham with some cheese & mustard to make a sandwich on the last whole wheat cheesy kaiser bun.

I figured I’d better get in on the hummus I made this week, before my sister eats it all, so I had a big ol’ scoop with cucumber and carrot for dipping.

And a few of those Sweet Onion Kettle Chips, since they are just so darn tasty. Wouldn’t want them to go stale now that the bag is open. Yeah, that’s it 😉

Again, no eating outside though. The temperature was fine, but there is so much smog out there. Ugh.

food2 524

I also prepared this beautiful container of blueberry…stuff.

What is it for? Well, you’ll just have to wait and see 😉 And on that note, I’m off to go bake!

Haha! The kitty part cracked me up. It reminds me of the epic battles that my cat and my roommate’s cat used to have when we first introduced them. My kitty Zelda was so much bigger than my roommate’s cat, Moo, but Moo held her own!! Eventually the fighting turned into cuddling and they ended up being bffs!

Oh wow, you leave us hanging twice!! haha, jk. I am excited to see the blueberry sauce creation, AND I’m rootin’ for the underdog (Sienna)!

Love the battle royale of the kitties! Your lunch is perfect for summer – maybe if I eat something like that, the sunshine will come out here?

Love the boxing match set up for the cats! 🙂

Your ham & cheese sandwiches always give me the hankering for one.

I’m wondering if the blueberry….stuff is a filling for something? What a cliff hanger!

I laughed out loud reading this! My cats just had a little visit at my parent’s house while my husband and I moved. There was a lot of fur flying over those 2 weeks because my mom’s cat was none to pleased to have visitors. My Jack came back with a couple of scabs. Good luck to your kitties!
