Grey & Rainy

Oh where, oh where, has my summer gone? It’s another grey & rainy day here today   In fact, we even had some hail this afternoon. The weather completely dictated what was on the breakfast menu this morning – oats of course.

I decided to mix up the matcha goji berry oats again, as they were just so wonderful & colourful the last time. They did not disappoint. I even made them with less milk, and they were still fabulous.

  • 1/2 cup oats, 1% milk, water
  • 1/2 tsp matcha powder
  • 1-2 tbsp dried organic goji berries
  • splash of vanilla
  • 1 tbsp Meadowpure Ultra SmoothOmega Flax Seed
  • drizzle of agave nectar
  • sprinkle of sliced almonds

To bring a little sunshine to the meal, a glass of Happy Planet Mango Peach Party

I’ve spent all day inside. It’s just too gross out to leave. Plus I’m working on a little project, that is taking much longer than expected. Such is the story of all the projects I embark on!

Lunch time came around, and I went leftover shopping in the fridge.

I dished out a bowl of leftover uber-cheese macaroni & cheese. Eaten cold, of course.

Followed up with a wee little pear. Perfect size for someone who isn’t a total pear fanatic, and who isn’t super hungry but needs something a little sweet.

Tonight I have the house to myself (I think). My parents are off to a BBQ, and my sister doesn’t appear to be coming home, so I plan on lots of quality me time. And more cat refereeing. Anyways, back to my mystery project

Your oats look just as good this time around.

I prefer my leftovers cold, too. Especially pizza!

I am not a big pear fan either, but they can satisfy a sweet tooth, I agree to that one.

The oats look great. I can’t believe I thought you used MOCHA powder…haha, oops! I think I need to start eating bigger breakfasts because yours seem so calorie dense, yet I bet they keep you full for a long, long time. My breakfast needs more protein, but I’m always afraid 400 calories or more will keep me too full. I need to try adding something, just to try it out. I love all of your oats, they never get old!
