I think I’ve kept you in enough suspense. Check out the surprise.

It’s true – I finally decided upon a laptop. I know all the MacBook enthusiasts out there will be disappointed that I ended up going with the Toshiba PC, but here’s the deal: it came down to cost. To fully equip the MacBook the way I want it was just not in the budget. If I can’t do it up right, then I don’t want it. This lovely will work very well for my purposes. And it’s a pretty sexy looking machine, no?

So I’ve spent the majority of my day setting my new laptop up. I’m really picky when it comes to how my computer is set up, plus I’m not used to Windows Vista (my desktop is running XP), so it’s a bit time consuming. I still haven’t transferred any files over yet, as I’m not 100% sure how I want to organize everything. But I’m so happy to no longer be tied to my desk in order to use my computer, especially since it’s located in the family rec room. I also have some long days at school with large breaks, so it will be perfect for getting caught up on blog reading school work while I’m out there.

All that computing required fuel. I needed a snack this afternoon, and was craving chocolate. Half an English muffin toasted and spread with Artisana Cacao Bliss did the trick.

I was on my own for dinner this evening, so I went crazy with the leftovers. When am I not eating leftovers lately?!

There was a little bit of beef kabob that needed consuming.

As well as the rest of the kale, in the form of kale chips.

And some more quinoa pesto salad – this time I mixed quinoa with just shredded carrot and a spoonful of ED&BV Lemon Cashew Basil Pesto, and topped it with a little grated fresh parmesan.

I’m really good at filling up my plate, eh? It’s not really that big of plate though, and the kale isn’t exactly densely packed on their either 😉

I enjoyed my meal planted in front of the tv with my laptop in front of me. I’m such a dork

I was holding out for dessert until my parents got home from their BBQ, since I knew there would be leftovers, but the chocolate monster came calling.

I was able to silence him with a handful of chocolate chips.

Once the ‘rents were home, I grabbed a slice of this beauty.

Mom made a blueberry no-bake cheesecake to take the BBQ, and I knew she would bring back at least a few slices. I topped mine with some fresh blueberries, and had a mug of Stash Chocolate Hazelnut Tea alongside.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go spend my last night of staying up late in bed reading blogs. Mostly, because I can. Night!

Sleeeeeeeeeek new laptop! Two tips though: 1. Now that you’re a student (I don’t know if it applies in Canada so I’m sorry if it doesn’t) you can get apple discount. 2. If you use Internet Explorer, it freezes ALL THE TIME on Vista. I use Firefox and haven’t had an issue at all. Feel free to email me if none of that made sense, I’m only on my first cup of coffee 😉

NICE laptop!! Ok, I’m an Apple fan, but your new laptop looks very nice and it deserves the compliments 🙂 I hope you enjoy it! You will.

The beef kabobs look awesome, even as leftovers!! And, those kale chips are making me want to make my own. They should sell kale chips at the store…I wonder why they don’t…hmmm, ideas!
