Blinded By The Light

I found myself a little sunbeam at which to work and eat my lunch here at school, in my new favourite building. And all of my computer programs are behaving today (knock on wood), so I can actually blog midday.

I was lucky I didn’t sleep in this morning – I forgot to set my alarm. Oops! But I was up at the right time, probably because my sister also gets up then, and I always wake up when people are moving about the house.

I finally got around to making a bowl of oatmeal this morning.

  • 1/2 cup oats, milk, water
  • 1 banana sliced
  • splash of vanilla
  • 1 tbsp flax seed
  • 1 tbsp peanut butter
  • Saskatoon berry creamed honey
  • Nature’s Path Pumpkin Flax Granola

I had considered having PB & J oats, but there was no open jars of jam in the fridge, so I went for the creamed honey instead.

With a glass of cranberry pomegranate juice. This bottle is taking forever to go through!

I must have not been hungry this morning or something, because I could barely finish this bowl. I ate it all though, because it’s my long day, and if I don’t have a good enough breakfast, I’ll be famished by the time I get home.

I’ve also been barely able to keep my eyes open today   I was nodding off on the bus, then in my psychology lecture. Ugh. Fortunately, we got out of class a little early, so I went for a quick walk outside around campus to wake up, then found my little spot to hunker down with lunch.

See my sunbeam? πŸ˜€ I was totally wearing sunglasses inside until it moved enough to not be so blinding

What was for lunch? Well, I made a tuna sandwich – tuna, mayo, dill pickle relish on Silver Hills "The Big 16" bread.

As well as a carrot with dill dip, and a bunch of those beautiful concord grapes.

Don’t worry, I have more snacks packed to keep me going through til dinner

Time for me to put in a good 45 min on our presentation before I go meet with our group to finalize some things. Later gators.

I’m sure your food looked yummy, and I’m glad you found a sunbeam for that vitamin D! haha.

Good luck on the presentation preparation.

Hate it when I forget to set the alarm. I always wake up with such a start realizing that it didn’t go off!

I like the way the honey liquified in your bowl…

Oops to the alarm!! Glad you woke up naturally though! That honey sounds like a lovely substitute for jam πŸ™‚
