Check It Out – February 3

It’s about that time again, to check out some links I find interesting, and want to share with you all. This week, it just so happens they are all links to recent news articles. I hope you enjoy!

  • CFIA testing for accurate nutrition labelling – The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has been targeting restaurants and fast food locations who offer nutritional information on their products, and testing them out to see if that info is indeed accurate. When it comes to those advertised as low-fat…well, they just might not be.
  • Your body’s pH and your diet – Are the claims that your diet can really alter your body’s pH true? Should we worry about acid-forming vs alkaline-forming foods? Is there any reputable science behind it?
  • If Meals Won Medals – The New York Times has proclaimed Vancouver to be the best Olympic host city for dining out. Take note foodies – we’ve got some good eats on the west coast!

Yeah, I had to get that Olympic related article in there 😉 What can I say, I’m excited! Enjoy your Wednesday everyone.
