Cramming The Days Away

It’s crunch time for those 3 midterms I have this week, all clustered into the span of two days. Hence my lack of post last night – I was busy blinding myself with (food) science (please tell me someone gets that song reference).

But now that I have a few moments to spare while I munch away on lunch, I figure we’ll get caught up on the day that was February 9th.

I started my morning with a berry-licious bowl of oatmeal.

Food 3 958

  • 1/2 cup oats, milk, water
  • frozen blackberries
  • splash of vanilla
  • 1 tbsp flax seed
  • Artisana Coconut Butter

Food 3 957

I think it went berry well with my glass of cranberry juice.

Food 3 960

Quatchi decided to work his way into my lunch photo. I think he was just trying to steal the food 😉

Food 3 962

I brought some yogurt with kiwi fruit.

Food 3 964

And a little Kashi GoLean Crunch to add in later.

Food 3 965

As well as a Peanut Butter Cookie Larabar.

Food 3 963

I’ve decided I like taking a smaller lunch when I have to eat in class, and then coming home and having a snack. Works better for me hunger wise.

Our classes ended early, which was perfect, because I had an errand to run after class, and it was a gorgeous day out, so I had time to enjoy it. Check out that view into downtown – the picture just doesn’t do it justice.

Food 3 973

The best photo would have been from the centre of the crosswalk, but I wasn’t quite ready to risk my life for a picture 😉

We are in full on Winter Olympics mode – even if the trees and plants are starting to bud and bloom 😉

Food 3 968

I eventually found my way home, and had a wee slice of pepperoni pizza I found in the fridge.

Food 3 974

Some goofy kitty was on the dining room table checking out my mom’s plant. Then she decided my pizza was more interesting.

Food 3 977

I finally settled in for some studying…all afternoon, and all evening. It was pretty boring. I’ll be honest though – there were breaks, for things like Twitter, the hockey game, the news, etc. Oh, and dinner!
Food 3 985

Another fend for yourself evening, so I rummaged around to see what I could come up with. I decided on some leftover ham.

Food 3 981

A baked potato topped with baked beans.

Food 3 980

And some kale chips, that were slightly overdone. Oops!

Food 3 979

This was followed by more studying…with a Biggest Loser break thrown in for fun. Which also meant a cookie & tea break 🙂

Food 3 986

I decided to polish off that Mexican Hot Chocolate cookie from Sprouts with a mug of peppermint tea. I did share a few bites of the cookie with my sister, because I’m just so nice.

That, my friends, was yesterday. I don’t think I’ll be back to entertain you until sometime tomorrow evening, as I have two midterms today (causing me to be at school from 8 am to 8 pm), and another in the morning. Once I’ve written that midterm, I’m officially kicking off my Olympic break, and heading down to check out all the buzz in the city, as well as see the torch! Don’t worry, I’ll be packing the camera, so I’ll have lots to share 🙂 But for now – au revoir!
