Wednesday Web Links – March 31, 2010

They’re back!

Now that I’m back to a regular posting schedule, I’m bringing back my weekly list of web links for you all to check out. I enjoy sharing a some of the gems I find each week with you all, because if I enjoy them, I’m sure some of you will as well.

First, I have some blogs to rave about:

  • Freshly Served – Healthy Vegan Recipes – This is my friend Heather’s site, and she gets top billing this week! I’ve been meaning to post this link for awhile.  Head on over to her site, where you can watch her cook up delicious, quick, easy vegan recipes, as well as get information on healthy vegan eating. Everything she makes looks fresh and tasty, and she shares my love of avocados. I’ve also been eyeing up some of her tempeh recipes to try. ***Heather – perhaps we should collaborate on a video sometime!***
  • Vegan Vibration – Looks like I’m on a bit of vegan kick here with my links, but it’s not intentional. A friend at Sprouts told me about her friend’s blog, so of course, I had to check it out. Cam, another local blogger, creates great looking vegan dishes, gives music recommendations, and even throws in a daily haiku for good measure. Plus I saw a recipe for an avocado pie. Yum!

There are also some great foodie/healthy living events coming to Vancouver I want to share:

  • The Wellness ShowApril 30, May 1 & 2, 2010 at Canada Place in Vancouver. There will be tons of exhibitors, cooking demonstrations, workshops, and seminars. Everything to help you find a healthy balance all under one roof! I’m looking forward to it!
  • EAT! VancouverMay 28 – 30, 2010 at the new Vancouver Convention Centre. This will be a foodie’s paradise, with demos, tastings, artisans, competitions, and more! I think the celebrity cooking demonstrations, as well as the tastings from local Vancouver restaurants will be the highlights.
  • Outstanding In The FieldJuly 19, 2010 at the UBC Farm. This is an event I so want to go to, but probably won’t be able to due to the cost. The chef from Refuel restaurant in Vancouver will be creating a farmer dinner out at the UBC farm that I’m sure will be amazing, not only for the food, but for the location as well. If only the tickets weren’t $180…if anyone else is lucky enough to go, please let me live vicariously through you!

Those are the links for the week. I hope you get a chance to check them out, and if anyone else is interested in going to The Wellness Show or EAT! Vancouver, let me know – I’ll be there!

Always love links! I always find so much useful info. I’ve got to get mine going again on the blog. It has been a couple weeks since I’ve done any.
