Sugar Mama

I seem to have amassed a vast quantity of sugary products in the past few days.

You can blame the after-Easter chocolate sales for these.

Dark chocolate Mini Eggs – seriously, like crack. But not cracked eggs. Those are just messy.

Robin’s Eggs – aka oblong Maltesers. Love the way they melt your mouth.

Our store had them on sale for $0.19/100 g. Say what?! That bag cost me like, $1.50.

I also have baked goodies from Sprouts.

Today was my last volunteer shift, so I had to get some treats. Obviously, the fudgy vegan brownie was a requirement.

And I just had to try the quinoa honey chocolate chip cookie – deemed a “sharing cookie” based on its size.

Farewell wonderful Sprouts baked goods…until next September when we meet again.

I even ended up with this chocolate bar

…simply because a certain someone was tweeting about how good it was. When I saw it, I knew I had to have it.

But rest assured, this is not my food recap for the day. I may enjoy my sweet treats, but I’d probably be passed out in a sugar coma or have one hell of a stomach ache. Actually…that last part is true. But don’t blame the sugar.

And don’t blame the breakfast either. It started with my greens+ extra energy.

Half of a ruby read grapefruit.

And a toasted Ezekiel English muffin topped with Almond Budder Extreme and raspberry jam.

So nice, I photographed it twice!

They even all posed for a family photo.

Breakfast was lovely, school was the usual. My last class of the day was cancelled, and will be all week, so I was free to go after my shift at Sprouts. It was a glorious day out when I got home, so I took my lunch outside.

Yes, it looks eerily similar to my dinner last night. A hotdog & chips. But I added a little something something to the hotdog – avocado. Because really, everything is better with avocado.

I didn’t mean to put so much cheese on it. My sister had grated some, and I just used up what was left. I will NOT waste food!

I have a feeling this is where my stomach started to go off. And I know you are all nodding your heads, and saying “well, duh”. Whatever, it tasted good.

I had my volunteer shift at the senior’s manor, then made my way home to dinner.

A chicken pot pie, pineapple, cucumber, and corn. The pie was shite – it had no flavour, the crust was lame. I’m not even sure why I bothered eating as much as I did, because it wasn’t worth it. And when coupled with the delicious, yet acidic pineapple…well, this was my dessert.

Mmmm, fruit flavoured chalk. And no, those aren’t my 85 year old Grandma’s hands – they are mine.

Needless to say, I passed on my planned gym session for the evening. I feel that would have only ended badly.

I am now off to sleep, in hopes of waking up refreshed and ready to start the day.

Stayed tuned – there should be an exciting post coming your way on Wednesday!

Dark mini eggs are by far my favourite Easter candy. I could hardly read the rest of your post after seeing these in the first picture. I’ve actually been searching for more since Easter, but can only find the milk or white chocolate. They’re good, but they sure aren’t the same.

You’re right, everything is better with avocado. Even a hotdag? Mmm…why not!? Looks great. I’m glad to see a food blogger eating hot dogs. 🙂

    Mmmmm…chocolate! I love Malteasers!

That hotdog looks great, but sorry to hear that dinner gave you an upset stomach. Store bought pot pies usually suck butt.

Wow it’s probably a good thing I’ve never heard of Robin’s eggs before, I would have bought you out! Hope you feel better soon 🙂

Ha! Catching up on my blog reading tonight and imagine my delight when I saw that you bought that SUPER ADDICTING chocolate bar! I’m glad my tweet sealed the deal for you 🙂 Your other goodies have me craving chocolate right now – I love after Easter candy and that brownie…oh, that brownie.

Thanks for the link love, Marianne!
