Personal Shopper

I was all prepared to enjoy a nice day off from work today…when the phone rang at 8:30 am. Can you guess who was calling? This time it was our Comp Services department – the people who shop, pack, and deliver our online and phone orders. In all fairness, I did say that I was available to come in if they needed extra people. May as well work while I have the time right? Once school starts back up, I won’t have that luxury.

So I crawled jumped out of bed, and got myself fed and ready to go to start at 9:30.

Can you guess what was for breakfast?

A bowl of Nature’s Path Pumpkin Raisin Crunch cereal with almond milk.

And a refreshing glass of Happy Planet Extreme Green juice.

It was fun being a personal shopper for the day. Definitely helped me get to know the store better as well. I miss doing my own grocery shopping since I’ve moved home. I’m hoping they ask me again the next time they need help.

I did pack a snack to eat on my coffee break.

But decided that I was hungry for lunch, so I got a sandwich from the deli. Unknown to me – it had a whole lot of horseradish on it. My nose was running and eyes watering as I sat in the lunch room chowing down. Not to mention, I think all that horseradish upset my tummy. Won’t be ordering that one again!

It was a quick shift, and I was on my way home by 1:30…but not without picking up ANOTHER shift tomorrow evening. That will make it 8 days in a row at work. I will definitely take the time to enjoy my Friday & Saturday off this weekend!

At home, I had a little snack – toasted rye bread with some marionberry jam.

Then got comfy in the massage chair and read for the afternoon. Before you knew it, I was being summoned upstairs for dinner.

Quick and simple was the name of the game tonight, with perogies from the freezer.

A nice green salad, with a few whole carrots for fun.

Plus some red grapes, and the absolute best bunch of local BC strawberries I’ve had yet this season. Amazing.

There were also some grilled sausages, but I wasn’t in the mood. Plus my plate was full.

Tuesdays are Zumba night around here, and as always, it was a heart-pumping, sweaty good time. I’m sure I still look like a spaz doing it, but I’m okay with that.

Back at home, it was time for a little post workout fuel.

Vega Shake & Go Smoothie in Vanilla Almondilla with almond milk. I just wanted something thirst quenching and delicious, and this totally hit the spot.

Now that I know I won’t be receiving any 8 am wake up calls, I’m off to read into the night. Party animal, right here. Later gators!

8 days non-stop? You’re amazing! I find myself completely burnt out by Thursday night sometimes, I can’t imagine what it’d be like to not stop after Fridays. Hope you have a fabulous weekend, though. And green juice with breakfast: best idea I’ve evah seen! 😀
