Looks like someone went a little AWOL this weekend. What can I say – it’s summer, fun was being had, and my motivation to write was nil. But of course, my trusty camera was at my side to document the highlights.

This Past Weekend…
…I consumed alot of berries…
…sometimes in smoothies.
…I ate salads…
…on multiple occasions.
…I went downtown for dinner with friends from Victoria…
…and had old family friends over for dinner.
…I packed snacks to take to work…
…and brought home snacks from work.
…it was very warm, so I ate cool breakfasts…
…including tofudding, topped with granola and more berries.
…I resisted the urge to purchase a new cookbook…
…only to be gifted an antique one.
(don’t worry, I’ll have a whole post on this one later – it’s a gem!)
…I tried some new products…
…and created my new signature summer drink.
(glass filled with ice + lime wedge + club soda + splash of mango rum)
…I balanced healthy eats…
…with summer time treats.
How was your weekend? Hopefully you got out there and enjoyed all that summer has to offer. And on that note – I give you the Music Monday tune:
Gob – Soda
Some of my favourite Vancouver punk guys. This song is always on my summer playlists. Now I need to go find me a lake to jump in!
i’m in love with that antique cookbook! where did you get it?! anything old fascinates me, i love to think how things have a history behind them
haha gob…i saw them in concert once with avril lavigne when i was like 12. and simple plan too. i never realized before that those were all canadian performers…canuks unite, eh?
Super eats. I’ve been eating so many berries.
I love the look of teh old cookbook!
Love your summer drink – it looks so refreshing!
OMG, I LOVE old cookbooks. My favorite was one from an estate sale – the grandma had died, She had hand written notes all over an old Betty Crocker cookbook. I thought maybe they didn’t realize it was on the for sale table, and when I showed it to the grandchildren, no one wanted it! So sad but I have it now! 😀
I love Gob – it may be hard to believe but I used to be so into skateboarding, punk, ska music, etc. Brings back teenage memories though. Looks like you had a great weekend with lots of good summer eats!
How’d you like that Morning Crisp cereal? I’ve been wondering if it’s worth the dinero…
Sounds like a fun weekend. I haven’t been too attached to the computer either! 😉
Ooh! I had forgotten about your delicious tofudding! I might just have to make some tonight.
FUN, dinner out with friends AND at home with friends!
is that a muffin? looks like one- looks incredibly delish too :p
im so in love with very old vintage cook books.. even the new ones that just have a vintage look. but thats the reason i make sure my grandma doesnt throw out her old cookbooks, there so much charm in them, and suprisingly GOOD recipes!
