Don’t worry, I’m not suffering from any sort of raging illness.
My laptop, on the other hand…
…was not in good shape.
This morning I was doing my usual computing while enjoying breakfast, when I had a little alert show up in the right corner of my screen. It appeared to be a Windows Alert, letting me know that something was up. I clicked on it, and it proceeded to download what looked like some antivirus software. Then more alerts were showing up, which seemed sketchy, especially when I noticed spelling errors in the alerts. Crap! I quickly shut off my internet, before it could finish it’s download. Alas, I still ended up with a disabled task manager, security centre, antivirus, and some porn links on my desk top.
*insert your favourite string of “colourful” words here*
I had a minor meltdown, then fired up the desk top to figure out how to fix it.
My laptop then went under a 4 hour emergency surgery. Or exorcism I guess.
I fuelled up with a TLAP sandwich (Tempeh – Lettucs – Avocado – Pickle, dontcha know?)
Sienna made sure to supervise the procedure.
Although it was touch and go for awhile, it appeared my laptop made it through relatively unscathed. I thought about celebrating with a drink – except I had to go to work. So I went for the next best thing.
It’s no Rialto martini or anything, but it worked.
So needless to say, my day was completely shot. I had big plans to do some Insanity, write up some blog post, clean up the pigsty known as my bedroom, and do some cooking. Ah well, I guess that’s how life goes, right?
I’ll be back tomorrow with more from my weekend in Victoria, including an amazing dessert recipe. Night!
