This Week In Food

It’s Sunday – time for a mostly photographic recap of this week’s adventures in food. I think the theme of this week is the transition between summer and autumn. Think warm, sunny days transitioning into grey, rainy days. Or berries, nectarines, and corn on the cob transitioning into apples, pumpkin, and cinnamon. Salads and smoothies transitioning into soups and oatmeal. You get the idea.

It’s got pumpkin, oats, and it’s made overnight – recipe to come!

Oh Bumble Bar, how I love your seedy nature.

Yeah, there’s a recipe for this one coming soon too.

Salmon burgers have been out of my life for far too long.

Is it weird to find a mini camembert cheese cute?

Can you tell I bought a giant container of local strawberries and I refuse to let them go bad?

Ooooh, a lunch out in a restaurant? Expect a review soon!

I got sucked in by the vanilla, but forgot I hate chai. Thought it tasted like eggnog, of which I’m also not a fan.

Chinese food – homemade by mom. Looks professional to me!

Cookies from our neighbour and a homemade green tea latte. Sunday night comfort, right there.

And no week in review would be complete without a photo of the fur baby.

Too tired to even play with the Rock Band drumstick. She’s not the only one.

If you ever decide not to become a dietician, you could go into food styling!!! Love the strawberrie “sunburst” on the oatmeal. And I’ll say it again, your cat is GORGEOUS!

You always incorporate the most interesting produce into your meals–beets, golden raspberries–love it!
