(Most Of) This Week In Food

Another Sunday means another instalment of This Week In Food. As mentioned in my previous post, my camera has made fewer appearances this week due to the craziness that is life, so it’s not the most complete collection of eats, but it’s still a good representation. And since I’m feeling chatty today, I think I’ll include captions.

There have been a lot of pumpkin eats this week. Such as these overnight oats

…and this pumpkin scone with homemade apple butter…

…a piece of caramel-covered pumpkin bundt cake

…and even pumpkin miso soup?

I sense a Pumpkin Recipe Week coming on here. Stay tuned!

There has also been some of the usual fare, such as oatmeal with blackberries

…and a simple chicken, veggie, and fresh bread dinner.

I’ve packed lunches for work…

…and lunches for school.

And I may have been bad and even purchased a lunch at school.

Uh, and a green tea latte. I was in dire need of caffeine.

I’ve given the blender a workout with some Chocolate Banana Blended Cereal

…and made sure to use up my UBC Farm golden raspberries.

I grilled up a quesadilla filled with spinach, black beans, mushrooms, peppers, and cheese

…which paired nicely with some tomato soup.

A couple of cookies have graced my lips.

And I tried out a version of a recipe for a bagel melt with brie, almonds, and honey – mine had camembert, hazelnuts, and honey.

Paired with an apple, it was a filling and delicious brunch.

And even though I’ve been busy with school, I was able to make fit in a successful trip to Costco

…and a dinner out for world-renowned Indian food with a fellow food blogger.

But that story will have to wait for another post. Hey, I gotta keep you coming back somehow!

I’ve never tried cooking blackberries in my oats; I’ve always just had them on top. Sounds like a great idea!

Cannot wait until pumpkin recipe week! Those are some creative pumpkin combos! That bagel topping sounds amazing. I’ve become such a fan of brie lately.
