The Big Chill

You may remember we had some snow recently.

Well, this is the current weather forecast for Metro Vancouver:

Did someone say BRRRR?!

So what is one to do when faced with a big chill?

Make sure to eat a warm breakfast.

Oatmeal with banana, peanut butter, and snow white chocolate chips.

Ensure your lips stay hydrated. Preferably with a seasonal lip gloss.

Utilize nature’s cooler for your hippie drinks.

Pack tasty lunches involving spinach hummus and things to dip in said hummus.

Wait…that has nothing to do with cold weather. But it tasted good 😉

Cook up a homey soup or stew for dinner. Even better – get your mom to cook said stew.

Sip on copious amounts of hot tea. Bonus points if it’s also seasonal and features cute critters on the box.

Stay indoors and find a good book to read – like the one you took out of the library and have renewed 3 times yet still haven’t started.

Make sure to bundle up in something warm.

While you’re at it, practice your self-portrait skills why dontcha?

And if all that doesn’t get you toasty and warm, why not lay out a blanket on the floor in front of the fireplace?

Don’t forget your stuffed toys!

How are you keeping warm this winter?

Now I wish I’d had oatmeal for breakfast… Hmmm, might need some milk for that though right?

I pretty much hibernate as much as possible in the winter. I just do not like the season one bit! Ugh…

Whoa that is cold! I do love those photos though. It’s a nice back drop for your meal! 🙂 That book is on my to-read list too.
