Today I woke up to snow.
So I went back to bed. Only crazy people would brave a 3 hour round trip transit commute for a 1.5 hour lecture. Because you know that 3 hours commute could easily turn into more.
When I got back out of bed, it was still snowing.
So I had breakfast.
Leftover blueberry pancakes topped with Peanut Butter & Co. Mighty Maple peanut butter.
After breakfast, more snow.
Since mom didn’t go to work, we took a quick trip to the fabric store and picked up some awesome stuff so she can make me neat things like aprons and bags.
Back at home…more snow.
So I had lunch.
Tuna & pickle sandwich on Silver Hills “The Big 16” Bread, and a thin slice of smoked gouda. So gooda 😉
So I dug out a black bean brownie from the freezer and topped it with peanut butter…and a touch of snow.
Did I mention it snowed? And that I have giant feet?
Yup, definitely snow.
So I made a green smoothie – banana, mango, milk, yogurt, secret green stuff.
Our street was pretty sketchy.
I contemplated walking to work, but finally the streets were cleared, so I was able to drive. Sadly, I hadn’t packed any dinner with me, so I had to pick up some tasty eats at the deli.
Conveniently I only ate half of each dish, so I could photograph them when I got home!
Roasted veggies – carrot, sweet potato, squash, red pepper.
Uber creamy macaroni & cheese. Has a hint of spice that I quite enjoy.
I drove some of my work mates to the train since I’m such a swell person and didn’t want them waiting out in the snow for 30 min for the next bus. They have now promised me chocolate.
When I got home, I made some vanilla rooibos tea.
And grabbed a raisin bran muffin.
A nice way to end my Snow Day.
And in case you weren’t aware…exactly 1 month until Christmas! The snow even reminded me of that.
