I’m bringing back my Sunday night recap of my week in food. Not even sure why it stopped in the first place – I must have gotten distracted.
Speaking of distracted, such is my life these days. With only a week left of classes, a presentation to give, paper to write, and two finals to complete, I’m sure you can appreciate my lack of daily posting. In all honestly, I would rather just be baking up a storm of Christmas treats in the kitchen. But that shall have to wait until after the 15th.
Enough of that though. Time for some food photo fun!
Greek yogurt, crumbled raisin bran muffin, peanut butter – a new favourite!
Random bean & chorizo dish rescued from the freezer – made for a hearty, warming lunch.
Multigrain bagel, spinach hummus, smoked gouda. Mmm, mmm good.
Mystery green drink + snow!
Cooking up something good at Quince! (read all about it here)
Fig-studded oatmeal with Peanut Butter & Co. Mighty Maple & homemade strawberry jam.
Pieces of the packed lunch puzzle.
Kashi Lemongrass Coconut Chicken frozen meal (see my review here).
Not your typical hot chocolate (stay tuned!)
Blueberry pancakes and that Mighty Maple stuff again. Side note – Whole Foods here isn’t carrying the PB & Co. peanut butter anymore. Boo-urns!
Good ol’ tuna sandwich with pickles.
Snow with a side of black bean brownie + peanut butter.
A blast from the summery past – green smoothie!
What dinner looks like when you work in a grocery store.
Tea, tea, and more tea.
Impromptu trip to Whole Foods.
Leather pear! Actually, it’s a bartlett that slowly turned completely brown as it sat in the fruit bowl. I named it leather pear, as it totally looked like leather. I didn’t actually consume it, but wanted to share it with you none the less.
Grocery store dinner leftovers turned into lunch the next day.
Friday night pizza. Need I say more?
Ben & Jerry’s Caramel Hat Trick ice cream – the only ice cream to enjoy while watching your Canucks smoke the San Jose Sharks 6 – 1.
Why dirty a bowl when you can eat straight outta the container?
Sweet chili tofu from Whole Foods. Amazing – must recreate.
Served up with a little quinoa and steamed broccoli.
Classic Sunday night dinner – pork roast, carrots, potatoes, asparagus, and a little gravy.
Tea and ice cream. Is that weird?
I know I’d typically end with a Sienna photo, but she’s currently hiding from the paparazzi underneath the Christmas tree. You’ll just have to wait until next week.
Hope your past week was great, and Monday treats you well.
WOW… I loved most of the stuff you have in these pictures. I LOVE this post.
Holy YUM – so many delicious combos!
I should really try the yogurt+muffin+PB “mess”…
And the tuna+pickles combo!
And many, many more…
Loved this post, hahaha 😉
The yogurt, muffin, PB mess looks AMAZING. I’ll have to try that sometime. yum yum.
I love the photos of the food in snow! Today, you’d be photographing your food in rain and slush…well, not a good idea!!
I really love making parfaits with crumbled bran muffins & Greek yogurt, so I’ll have to add PB to the mix next time!
Please, please, please recreat that sweet chili tofu from WF and share! I love that stuff.
