I Like It Green

As I try and fight this silly head cold by eating well and staying hydrated, I’ve been pondering some of my favourite beverages. Sure, good ol’ water is one of the best choices when trying to hydrate, but sometimes you want a little flavour in your drink. I started to realize that many of my favourite was to hydrate also happen to be one of my favourite colours – green!

We all know I love my Happy Planet Extreme Green juice.

And I may have enjoyed the odd Starbucks green tea latte. Not only hot

…but also iced.IMG_8442

However this So Nice Green Tea Latte? Not so great. I don’t recommend it. It’s not even green in colour!

Amazing Grass makes a mighty fine green drink.

And of course my Ultimate Green Goodness Smoothie has to make the list.

I’ve currently been enjoying a lot of minty green teas, such as Celestial Seasonings Candy Cane Lane.

And finally found my signature kombucha flavour. Yes, you guessed it…it’s green!

Whole Foods had these for about a month. I was there last week, and they don’t even have a spot on the shelves for them now. Way to get me hooked then take away the good stuff! I have one left in my fridge that I’m coveting until the right moment.

With all these delicious green options, I should have no trouble keeping my body hydrated and fighting this damn cold!

How about you – do you have a favourite green drink? Do you ever find colour themes in your favourite foods?

I’m so sorry you’re battling this Marianne! I wish I could come watch movies and rest up with you 🙂 I really like green juice from the juicer, but only when it’s decently warm out! Take care of yourself bby!

I guess I go for lots of orange in my foods from squash to sweet potatoes to oranges and mangoes. I love adding fresh kale to my berry smoothies. Not completely green, but it goes well with the purple. 🙂
