A Taste of the Holidays

We’re finally into December, my tree is decorated, and the snow continues to fall on an almost daily basis. My culinary thoughts have definitely been holiday baking – shortbread, butter tarts, chocolates and more! I’m not sure what festive treats I might actually have time to make this year, especially considering we are flying home for Christmas, which kind of limits what I can bring. So to help me get in the holiday baking mood, I’m rounding up some of my favourite festive recipes on the blog. Hopefully it will also help you find your Christmas culinary inspiration as well!

And one bonus recipe that I’m going to need to try – Pfeffernesse (Tiny Mennonite Christmas Cookies) from my friend Amy’s blog Delicious Dietitian Duo. The boyfriend LOVES these cookies, as his mom would make them every year at Christmas time. Now that I have a recipe, they need to happen.

Let’s keep the festive culinary inspiration going – share some of your favourite holiday recipes in the comments, both sweet and savoury!
