A New Addition + A Preview

Hello there faithful blog readers! As you may have noticed, I took a little extended absence from the internets. But I had good reasons – part of my absence was for my day job (yay work trips!), and the rest of the time was due to this…

Wait, let’s get a better look.

Meet Barley, our new little French Bulldog! Yes, we have decided to take the big step and become puppy parents. I’ve had a minor obsession with French Bulldogs for awhile now, but never thought it was the right time to get a dog. Then after Christmas we decided to actually take the plunge, and we couldn’t be happier (well, except for when little Barley has accidents – that’s not the funnest part). So far he’s been great, and he’s super interested in the Sienna, but she definitely doesn’t share the same interest.

She looks a little bit sad, no? I’m hoping she gets over it. Anyone have any tips on getting your old pets to be okay with new pets? She’s been an “only child” for 8 years, so I’m sure it will take a little while.

So things have been a little busy, working out the puppy’s sleep/play/eat schedule with our work day, but we’ve started to get things sorted out, which means I have time to get back to blogging. Which is great, because I have so many things I want to share with you – recipes, books, products, and more! So to go with all the cuteness I’ve already shared, here’s a little preview of the next recipe coming up.

Can you guess what it might be? Stay tuned for the answer!
